There is no great complex ideology that went into making these still lifes; rather they are a somewhat metaphysical meditation flowing through my creative process where all of the nutrients within my creative compost are used to shade the final result. I have become somewhat obsessed with making still lifes on the wooden grid of a giant vintage paper cutter. I began making these images with my best camera and lens, they were too sharp so I started using my cellphone. I wanted this to be more of a photographic rendering about arranged objects, but not about the things themselves. Many of these are composited and in exhibit would be finished with encaustic. These are expressions of the emotions and lilt of my day, chaos and geometry.
